Lucius, (pronounced Lou-shus) is coming to town next week, and they’re definitely making their stay worthwhile. They’re playing an XRT Free Sample Show at the Cubby Bear in Wrigleyville on Tuesday, February 25th. That’s right, you can see them for free! The show is first come, first served, with doors at 6 and the show starting at 7:30. The very next day they’ll be opening for John Hiatt at the sold out concert at the Tivoli Theatre in Downers Grove.
The charming, Brooklyn-based indie-pop group has successfully mixed go-go boots and folk music**. Go figure. They also have a habit of capturing your full attention, making you try to figure out how they’re making such gorgeous sounds emanate from the group, and how they got inspired to make such an original sound.
**There is no banjo, don’t worry.
